Russia ~ Glazky ~ Breakfast

Glazky *Basically Fried Eggs* Russian Style

I have not been intentionally neglecting the blog, really I haven't! I have still been cooking new recipes and even taking pictures with the intent of sitting down and updating everyone else. It is not that I don't want to share all these tasty new dishes with everyone so that they can enjoy them as well, it is just that here lately, with all the things I need to be doing, blogging seemed like a luxury that I felt guilty indulging in. With school back in session, I truly feel a bit scattered. Now that I have properly explained myself, or at least made myself feel better about ignoring you all, lets get back to the task at hand, and that is cooking!
The recipe I have today irritated me a bit, it was one I stumbled upon, easy to remember and make without needing "notes" and once I closed the site I found it from, it was lost to me until just recently. Now that I have found it once more however, here it is.
The name of the dish is Glazky.
It is a fried egg recipe of sorts that is typically served for breakfast.
The recipe is as follows and was obtained from RusCuisine.com on this Page.

Fried Eggs recipe

Ingredients:
4  eggs
100 g cheese
6 tb sour cream
salt to taste

Method:
Separate egg-whites from yolks, be careful not to damage yolks. Whip whites, add salt and whip again. Pour it on the pan greased with oil. Cover with a half of grinded cheese. Make little holes with a spoon and put yolks carefully in these holes. Add a little salt. put sour cream very accurately around the yolks and cover with the rest of cheese. Put the pan in the oven for 7 minutes. "Glazky" is served for breakfast.

I copy and pasted that so you know everything I did :)

What I did differently
It was pretty simple, so I did not need to change anything.

My families reaction
I used too much salt, and by too much I mean, it was really salty, normally I pour a bit of salt into my hand so I can gauge how much I am using however I was in a hurry and doing two things at once and just dumped a bit (too much) in. Aside from that horrible error everyone liked it. Cheesy, fried eggs is something that can be enjoyed by all.

I served it with pancakes, however it is a dish that could stand alone or with a simple piece of toast. I am sure you will not make the same mistake I did and can enjoy yours without all the water in your body instantaneously evaporating on the first bite. I suffered through it, to show my kids what a trooper I was, you know the whole, if I can eat it so can you routine, however I will say I was pretty thirsty afterwards.
