With this blog I hope to share with you the wonderful recipes I have found from around the globe.
Several years ago I began a project as a family that I hoped would teach my children the different cultures of the world. There was no way I could bring them to each state or country, however I could bring those places into my kitchen and open the door to even more learning.
Each month we began picking a new place, exploring the recipes, history, language, music and culture of every location and the people who called it home.
We have tasted things we never would have tried before, and found much to our surprise, how delicious the world can be.
My kids still enjoy this tradition and through cooking have a much greater appreciation for different cultures, and as an aspiring anthropologist, I find that wonderful.
Everyone in the world must eat, so why not bring the flavors of the world into your own kitchen.
Look forward to a new adventure in food every month with pictures, facts, history and recipes. I will share my own families reactions to some of the foods we try and also give hints on how to cook authentic dishes with food you can find at any grocery store.
Some places we have cooked from in the past so I will post my favorite recipes so that you can try something new.
I hope that you will enjoy this blog and cooking along with me as I find myself "In a World of Flavor"
